A multi-disciplinary symposium to be held in the UK next month will be a forum for bioscientists, technologists, social scientists, specialists in ethics, economics and policy to share their research information and expertise on food security challenges around the globe.
The symposium, taking place from 13 to 15 September, will be held at Lancaster University, and speakers will take on subjects such as: How can Europe respond to the food security challenge? Issues and Actions in China; and Food utilisation, access and availability.
The plenary speaker will be Gebisa Ejeta of Purdue University, winner of 2009 World Food Prize.
